The season premiere of "Wipeout" drew solid ratings for ABC Tuesday, but "America's Got Talent" helped NBC win the night overall. A double shot of "Hell's Kitchen," meanwhile, scored a demographic win for FOX.
NBC drew 8.85 million viewers and a 5.3 rating/9 share in households for the night, beating second-place CBS (7.8 million, 5.1/9) by about a million viewers. ABC (6.4 million, 3.6/6) came in third, a little ahead of FOX (6.1 million, 3.7/6). The CW was a non-factor with just 767,000 viewers and a 0.4/1.
FOX led the adults 18-49 demo with a 2.9 rating. NBC finished second with a 2.6, followed by ABC at 2.1. CBS scored a 1.3 and The CW a 0.3.
