Thank the Gods: BSG TV Movie Scoop

There have been rumors about some Battlestar Galactica TV movies to air after the conclusion of the series next Spring, and finally there's some more details on one of them:

None other than Admiral Adama, series star Edward James Olmos, has been slated to direct (the first movie) and series writer Jane Espenson will write the script.

General plot: The movie - as previously announced - is stand-alone and a prequel (like Razor). According to the LA Times, "The stand-alone will document the Cylons' attempts - those of two agents in particular - to grapple with human survivors, both those aboard ships and those left alive on planets, shortly after the Cylons' destruction of human home worlds."

Confirmed cast members include include Michael Trucco (Sam Anders), Aaron Douglas (Chief Tyrol) and Dean Stockwell (Cylon model No. 1).

Yeah...I do have some fear in the back of my head that BSG will have an explosive series finale and then this movie will air after it and will seem...not so good.I like your idea, spazinator...at least there's still rumors of 2 more movies to come so we've got some time...
