Here's some great, if unsurprising, news for WAREHOUSE 13 fans: according to The Hollywood Reporter, Syfy has renewed the series for a third season while giving showrunner Jack Kenny a new development deal.
Mark Stern, the programming chief for Syfy, said, ''Jack Kenny's superlative leadership and the incredible talent of his cast and crew delivered an outstanding second season of Warehouse 13. We're excited to see this successful series return next year and to developing our next hit with Jack.Â
Warehouse 13 follows Secret Service agents Myka Bering (Joanne Kelly) and Pete Lattimer (Eddie McClintock), who are assigned to protect the supernatural artifacts housed at the top-secret Warehouse 13 run by Dr. Artie Nielsen (Saul Rubinek) with an assist from junior agent Claudia Donovan (Allison Scagliotti).
The second season of Warehouse 13 recently finished its run and was Syfy's highest-rated show this year, averaging 3.4 million viewers each episode, 1.5 million of them in the coveted 18-49 demographic. There will be an all-new special out-of-sequence holiday episode this December to whet viewers appetites for the thirteen episode third season, which will air sometime in 2011.
