'Smallville' Photos: Doctor Fate, Stargirl, Hawkman, and more! - Featured

When it comes to Smallville's two-hour Justice Society-centric movie (airing Feb. 5), there's no such thing as too much hype, right? Good. Glad we're all on the same page. In related news, feast your eyes on these exclusive new images from Absolute Justice. The shot above previews the violent showdown between Justin Hartley's Green Arrow and Michael Shanks' Hawkman, while the photo below offers a first look at Doctor Fate (Brent Stait) and Stargirl (Britt Irvin). Too much hype? Ha!

Exactly, if someone was wearing this at comicon, I would love it, but for an actual TV show, its just wrong. They need to get this off the air, they're killing Superman.

i agree with laxcube. Sets and Costume look completely different with the lighting it's meant to be in. If you ever went backstage at a play etc. youd see how fake everything really looks upclose but with the right lighting it looks real. same with cameras, especially since they have post production etc. after shooting.

AREN'T MOST OF THESE ACTORS CANADIAN, MAYBE, THAT IS THE PROBLEM. THEY JUST ARE NOT IN THE PROPER SPIRIT TO PORTRAY/BRING TO LIFE A LARGER THAN LIFE SUPER HERO. MOST OF THESE CANADIAN INCARNATIONS OF SOME OF OUR FAVORITE {AMERICAN} COMIC BOOK HEROES LEAVE A LOT TO BE DESIRED.

I say add some CG to Hawkman's costume for more appeal. Who cares about the others? Play with Wonder Woman or Batman in some way. Bruce Wayne could make an appearance in come way right?

Anyone remember the first pictures we saw of Spider-man with the raised webs and fish scales or how plastic the first stills of Iron Man looked? They looked awful. Christian Bale's Batman outfit looked like Robocop in stills but you never see all that detail when it's in action.
