R.I.P. Party Down and Gravity

Just in from EW's Michael Ausiello:

Starz has pulled the plug on Party Down and Gravity.

"After careful consideration, we've decided not to continue on with subsequent seasons of Party Down and Gravity, " says Stephan Shelanski, executive vice president of programming for Starz Entertainment. "We're grateful to everyone involved in the shows, and are proud to have had them on the channel. Starz remains committed to aggressively expanding our original programming lineup."

I'm disappointed Gravity was canceled, especially given the way it ended. I really enjoyed watching it. It was kind of strange and dark and a little creepy but that's what made it different from other shows, and it's nice sometimes, to watch something different.

It sucks for Party Down but it kind of works out. The ending was kinda open but it was very cool with Henry going back to acting which was very fitting and an awesome ending to me. It's also better since a 3rd season would have been weird without a lot of the main cast which wouldn't have been able to return.
Party Down will be missed though, it was one hell of a show. Truly brilliant

As far as I can tell, Starz only has one original program left, which is Spartacus. It makes no sense that they would cancel "Party Down" when 'Starz remains committed to aggressively expanding our original programing lineup'. Especially because Spartacus has cancer and they are forced to make this prequel it seems pretty counter intuitive to cancel the only other original shows they have (unless the crash show was considered original).

Wait! Let's compromise.
What if we changed all the characters to twenty-something vampire caterers, and add sex, lots and lots of sex, then can we keep Party down?
