Here's a FlashForward casting alert, which may mean good news to some but certainly not for Agent Mark Benford (Joseph Fiennes). According to The Hollywood Reporter, actor Michael Ealy of Sleeper Cell fame has been tapped for a recurring role on the series. As who? Well, let's just say it's time to meet our villain. Or one of them anyway.
Reports have confirmed that Ealy will be portraying the "nemesis" of Benford as he tries to deal with the consequences of the blackouts. That is, finding out just exactly who was responsible for them. Could it be this guy?
Ealy will be getting a recurring role on Flash Forward, but I haven't exactly pinpointed the name of his character. I've pored through several sites and none of them mention who he is. The only thing I know so far is that he'll be appearing on the tenth episode of this season.
In the previous episodes of Flash Forward, we've encountered a couple of baddies who we've yet to identify. Let's narrow things down and see who Ealy could play. First, the most intense antagonist we've encountered so far is D. Gibbons. Mark's daughter Charlie (Lennon Wynn) revealed that her flash-forward pointed out to him being "a bad man." But since we already glimpsed him on episode 2 "White to Play," I'm thinking the guy's already been cast.
Next baddie: Ealy isn't that Nazi prisoner on the third episode "137 Sekunden" for obvious reasons. We already saw that character on the trailer and Ealy isn't set to appear until the 10th episode.
Finally there's Suspect Zero, who was seen loitering about in a stadium during the blackouts. Many have already attributed this role to Dominic Monaghan, but given the height of that character (Agent Janis Hawk said 6 feet), this actor is about three inches short.
It's definitely possible that Michael Ealy will be playing Suspect Zero, since I found out that he's 5-feet and 9-and-a-half inches tall. He also has that same build as the blurry figure they spotted in Detroit. Since we haven't seen the face of that man, they can still cast a new actor to fit the bill, such as Ealy.
Then again, I could be wrong about all of this and Ealy will actually be portraying an entirely different character. Oh well, guessing was worth a shot.
