The Daytime Emmys are taking a gamble on Sin City.
The ceremony will be broadcast from Las Vegas for the first time when the 37th annual awards show airs on CBS on Sunday, June 27 at 9/8c, the network announced Friday.
"The Daytime Emmy Awards are one of the cornerstones of our business and we are thrilled to be back on CBS," National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences chairman Herb Granath said in a statement. "Last year's show was one of the most entertaining events in our history, and this year's Las Vegas-based broadcast promises to be even more exciting."
Emmy award winner David McKenzie will serve as executive producer of the telecast. Nominations will be announced on May 12.
The 2009 Daytime Emmy Awards drew just 2.68 million viewers on the CW. Top prizes went to The Bold and the Beautiful for best drama and Rachael Ray for best entertainment talk show.
