Box Office Results: JoBros a Few Mil Shy of World Domination - Featured

For all of us concerned that the Jonas Brothers were on the fast track to take over the world, they've perhaps hit their first snafu.

This weekend's film Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience opened at only #2 with $12.7 million dollars, losing out to Madea Goes to Jail, which took in another $16.5 million in its second week.

The Jonas Brothers opened below expectations, as last year's Miley Cyrus Hannah Montana concert film opened to over $30 million dollars. That being said, the Brothers were far from a failure, as the opening still represents the 3rd best ever for a concert film.

More of the weekend's top box office performers:

Slumdog Millionaire - $12.2 million

Taken (2008) - $9.95 million

He's Just Not That Into You - $5.8 million

New release Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li underwhelmed, opening at #8 with only $4.65 million dollars.
