Survivor: Fiji contestant Kenward "Boo" Bernis was cited on a battery charge Wednesday after a woman claimed he hit her in a bar restroom, TVGuide.com has confirmed.
Bernis was issued a misdemeanor summons in lieu of a formal arrest for the alleged battering at Bootleggers Bar in Lafayette, La., on Saturday, according to Lafayette Police Department spokesman Paul Mouton.
A court date has not been set.
Coincidentally, Russell Hantz, of Survivor: Samoa and Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains fame, was arrested at the same bar on the same charge one day earlier. Hantz, 37, is a silent investor in the bar, according to KATC Lafayette.
CBS declined to comment on the charges.
