'High School Musical's Corbin Bleu Leads 'The Beautiful Life'

We've had enough of Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens, so let's see what's been happening to another member of the High School Musical cast: Corbin Bleu. Known for his role as Troy Bolton's best buddy, the 20-year-old actor will soon be appearing on a CW show of his own.

Several reports have confirmed that Corbin Bleu will be playing the character Isaac on the upcoming series The Beautiful Life. He's been signed as a series regular on the show, joining stars like Mischa Barton and Elle Macpherson. Produced by Ashton Kutcher, the program is all set to premiere this September on the network.

The Beautiful Life centers on the struggles faced by high-fashion models as they make their way through the industry. The story focuses on the hopeful Chris Andrews (Ben Hollingsworth) and Raina Collins (Sara Paxton), who both try their best to adjust in the cutthroat fashion world.

Beneath all that glamour and fame, there's insecurity and backstabbing. These "beautiful people" will do anything to stay ahead in the game, from keeping secrets to spilling them.

While Corbin Bleu's role on the upcoming series isn't that clear yet, the preview makes it seem like he's one of the models. His brief appearance in the clip (a few seconds after the 2-minute break) barely gives us a glimpse of what he'll be playing. He sounds a bit snarky though, but then again so does everyone.

Famous for playing Chad Danforth in the High School Musical movies, Corbin Bleu has appeared in a number of films and shows. He was soon seen in the Disney Channel Original Movie Jump In!, as well as working on other series for the network. He was in Hannah Montana, Jonas Brothers: Living the Dream, and even voiced a character for Phineas and Ferb.

The Beautiful Life is Corbin's second lead role in a television series, the first being his stint on Discovery Kids' Flight 29 Down in 2005. Don't miss the actor in The CW show when it airs on September 16 at 9pm.
