* Ghost Whisperer (8/7c CBS)
The argument could be made that every episode of the series is a Halloween episode, but some episodes are more so than others. This episode is classically frightful as it borrows heavily from a horror classic - Washington Irving's The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. The book's famous Headless Horseman comes to life to haunt Melinda, and it's safe to say he's not going to want to cross over into the light. Adding more drama to the story is Melinda's fear when the book shows up at Aiden's school.
* Ghost Adventures LIVE! (8/7c Travel)
Spending a night locked inside an abandoned psychiatric hospital sounds like a great way to get into the Halloween spirit. But watching others do this from the safety of our own living rooms sounds even better. So we're tuning into this seven-hour live broadcast from the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum in Weston, W. Va. The intrepid boo crew has been given unprecedented access to the old building, which is said to be one of America's most haunted sites. Better them than us!
* Stargate Universe (9/8c Syfy)
If you're on a runaway spaceship with dwindling supplies, a frozen planet may sound like an oasis in the desert. But since this is Stargate Universe, you can go ahead and presume there's something wrong with said planet. (Maybe the water smells funny?) While two crewmen trek across a cold new world in search of drinkable samples, Johansen (Alaina Huffman) tries to catch an intruder on board the ship.
* Numb3rs (10/9c CBS)
Things go bump in the night at a decommissioned air base, but are the spooky occurrences the result of paranormal-like activity or is something more sinister afoot? Don and his team investigate when a woman's body is discovered at the abandoned site, and their probe brings them into contact with some mysterious characters, including a group of alien hunters.
