News of Lakshmi's new project comes on the heels of her Emmy nomination (with co-host Tom Colicchio) for outstanding reality-competition host.
The Indian-born beauty got her start in modeling, before moving into acting with parts in the ABC miniseries The Ten Commandments, as well as feature films The Mistress of Spices, Boom and Mariah Carey's Glitter.
