Sunday's Numbers: Kings Not a Ratings Goliath - Featured

NBC premiered its new biblical inspired drama Kings last night. While the drama received mixed reviews, I thought that an intriguing plot and the awesome Ian McShane would be enough to attract the program some decent numbers, but no such luck for NBC.

Kings premiered to a measly 6.4 million viewers in its first hour, and dropped to only 5.6 in its second. (If you did watch, what did you think?)

Ratings winners for the night included Desperate Housewives with 14.43 million, Cold Case with 12.92 million (yet it's still in danger of cancellation) and The Unit with a season high 10.92 million.

Another blow for NBC: The Celebrity Apprentice dipped 12% down to 6.7 million viewers.
