The only good think about that is that Lynette's annoying kids would be gone (or at least grown up).

i'm OK with it!! as long as they don't get us confused like Lost. But i bet they want us to understand something coz when they do flashbacks or flash foward is for that reason!! i dunno..just saying

I think that it is a really stupid idea. Why can't they just leave the show alone? I love Desperate Housewives and I'm really worried that a time jump might really ruin it! The show is doing really well and it's not like anyone is getting bored of it...is it? It's a totally silly idea!Thank You................................oh and I like Lynette's kids, they're are a really great part of the show!

The idea of jumping 5 years into the future might not be a bad idea. The show has gotten into the habit of introducing new neighbors and then saying goodbye to them once their drama is complete.
I love the show - though maybe not this season as much as previous ones... The article talked about the problems of having some characters replaced - really, I agree that saying goodbye to Lynette's kids as they are will not be something that will be missed by the majority of viewers. They have been cute at times, but there is only so much that can be done with kids under 10 years of age on a show geared towards adults.
Plus, the show is built on flashbacks. Nothing like a nice five year gap to keep the audience wondering what might have gone on during that time.
I think that the change will not be a big deal at all - I think that it will flow through nicely.

i think it will be quite good.we will get to see what all the housewives and there men and kids will look like in the futer,i hope they keep on the same actors for the teenagers like for julie, andrew ect but they'll need to change lynettes kids for the obvious reason.in all i think it will be interesting :D

Im hoping that there fast forward in time will have something to do with medical advances and Carlos gets his vision back. why would they do this-are they going to be living in 2013? It seems risky- wouldnt it be crazy 5 years from now Lynette married Rick (I hope not)- I LOVE mike but i have forgiven Orson. I dont think they want to deal with babies ( susans and bree)
