HBO's THE LIFE AND TIMES OF TIM Season 2 Review

Fans of THE LIFE & TIMES OF TIM have something to look forward to tonight. Season 2 airs this Friday, February 19th at 9:30 PM on HBO. For those of you not familiar with the show, The Life & Times of Tim is an animated comedy that tells the story of Tim Dildarian, an average cubicle monkey that works for the generic company "Omnicorp" in New York. Think Seinfeld meets Office Space...only animated and there aren't as many characters.

Season 2 kicks off with two shorts: "Tim's Beard" and "Unjustly Neglected Drama". In Tim's Beard, *spoiler alert*, Tim grows a post-break up beard, for which he becomes the object of ridicule from his co-workers. By the way, why do men do this? It's like the female equivalent of a tub of ice cream and a pair of new shoes. Personally though, I think beards normally look pretty cool, even on Tim. Anyway, back to the show. Besides getting berated for his misunderstood and under-appreciated facial hair, Tim also goes on an awkward date with an unusual woman. He also finds himself in a situation where he must compete with a homeless man.

In "Unjustly Neglected Drama" Tim attends a dull play for Stu and ends up getting in trouble with the police. He also learns an important lesson about giving an honest review.

This was my first time checking out The Life & Times of Tim and I was very impressed. The writing is solid, the characters are fun, and at times you forget you are watching an animated series. If you are already a fan of the show, I think you're going to be pleased with Season 2. If you are a newbie to The Life & Times of Tim like me, I encourage you to check it out. If you are a fan of shows such as: Seinfeld, The Office, Extras, etc then you'll probably enjoy The Life & Times of Tim.
