One Tree Hill: Life Is Short

We begin this episode with Brooke's practice baby (Angie) crying her eyes out and Peyton complaining that she can't sleep (umm, does Petyon even pay rent?). Brooke and Peyton try everything to get the baby to shut it, but have little success. I'd cry too if my two new mommies (albeit temporary) were two 22 year olds that know nothing about parenting...

Next we head over to the Scott household where we learn that it's Jamie's 5th birthday! Nathan is over at the high school playing basketball where Dan shows up (Dan is a really good stalker this season, isn't he) and requests to attend Jamie's birthday party and be a part of his life. Nathan humorously tells Dan in response that "You should have thought of that before you killed Jamie's great uncle". Nathan does have a point.

Lucas obsesses over his shirt choice for the party because he learns that Lindsey will be attending and clearly the only thing that stands between a Lucas/Lindsey reconciliation is the proper shirt choice. I know I said that I didn't want Lucas to just forget about Lindsey, but tonight I found Lindsey's return to be particularly unexciting. In fact, I used the Lucas/Lindsey scenes (do they not have a one word couple nickname yet? Can we go with Boring?) as an opportunity to play Scrabulous and read the news.

Dan shows up at the party and Deb is none too happy. Speaking of Deb, glad to see she has matured, flirting with a clown and playing along with a joke that involved a lengthening balloon (and questionably doing more with the clown later). At any rate, Dan still excels at his mind games and adorably gives Jamie a basketball jersey with Nathan's number on it.

Peyton tries to act all mature and grown up and apologizes to Lindsey for everything and Lindsey continues to act sullen, but tells Peyton it isn't her fault. Lindsey later shows up at Lucas's place and Lucas mistakenly thinks she is coming back to him, but she just wants her stuff. He tells her to keep her house key, but she leaves it on the dresser. So we have a 'no' at the wedding, a 'no' to Lucas in New York and a returning of the key. Are things officially over yet? One can only hope.

Finally, Brooke discovers that parenting is like, hard, so she gets Lucas to deal with the baby so she can get work done. They reflect on how life used to be easier and cuddle. Haley and Peyton also have a heart to heart and Peyton admits that she might partially be in love with the idea of being in love with Lucas. Hallelujah, praise the lord! Now get a new boyfriend and MOVE ON.

Other Thoughts:

-What idiots stash the porn in a kitchen cabinet? Boys, I guess.

-"How cute do I look with this baby? Aren't I soo Angelina?" - Brooke. It's statements like these that make me question if Brooke is ready for parenthood.

-Skillz has become One Tree Hill's pop-culture referencing maniac. This week he takes a crack at relationship status on Facebook (also, I am enjoying how Skillz has been getting an increasing amount of character growth lately).

-I don't know if you all noticed but there was an 8 foot tall inflatable dinosaur in front of the Scott house for Jamie's party, which was awesome of a Jurassic Park magnitude.

-Cutest scene in the episode: Mouth and his roomies watch Millicent's pilates video like it's porn. Millicent then enters the room and shows she can play with the guys by bringing pizza, beer and water guns.

-Wait, Dan needs a heart transplant? What?

i dont think anyone right away have that motherly instinct. I mean I had my kids when I was 18. (not saying its okay) But it was hard in the beginning and its not like they have any mothers around to lend a hand or give really good advise. But I give them props for trying. Practice Practice Practice.. I would love to see Peyton move on and see how Lucas feels once shes found someone else! Ha maybe then he'll realize dang I just lost the girl of my dreams. He needs to get over Lindsey and realize that she's not coming back once she left her keys thats a sign. I love the part where Skillz and Jamie is playing together really cute and how Haley smiles at their closeness.. Deb is a little freaky to me and so is the CLOWN... hello didn't anyone tell her that Haley doesn't like clowns... I think its cute how Brooke and Lucas still have that close friendship and help one another out even if its to help watch the baby. Lucas does have a little more experience with a baby(since his sister is only 5). Also the part with Millicent was really cute how she planned to make the boys feel like shes just one of them(buddies). Dan well dan is just weird right now and his transplant you wonder if its true or if hes using it as a way to get back into the kids lives. I guess we'll just have to wait to find out.. just three more episodes left!!..

I love how skillz and Jamie are like they are....My fave part of the episode was the ending....There is so much past between them and they looked like a little family and it was cute. I could see them going somewhere again.

THE BEST moment was the end - Brooke with Lucas and baby Angie.. they looked like big happy family! i feel sooo sorry for Chad and Sophia, they were actually the hottest couple of the young Hollywood celebs...and felt sorry for Dan, too. Nathan could've been a little more understanding, but after he heard that his dad is gonna die soon, he didn't even say anything, and didn't even look unhappy.I mean , common, after all he's still your DAD???!!!

um be understanding about dan? hes been a prick for most of the seasons and then kills keith, who I loved, goes to prison and then expects haley and nathan 2 let their little 5 year old son (the boy who plays jamie is an amazing young actor) spend time with this killer? ok if dan had done it by accident then he could be forgiven but he diddnt he killed his brother at point blank range with malice. I think that if Nathan does feel sorry for his dad it will come out in the next episode or so. I think Brooke would be an amazing mother, she was joking about the Angelina thing. I love Peyton and if her and Lucas dont get together its totall crap. But I did sense a moment with Brooke and Lucas at the end when they were with the baby. Dont you just want to slap Victoria. Im really glad we are seeing more of Skills and Mouth because they are great characters. I do like this new season but I do miss their highschool days. Heres hoping that episode 16 will enthrall us even more.Much Love From England x
