ABC: 'Defying Gravity' Very Much Alive

Despite taking low number of audience each week, "Defying Gravity" will still escape from being cut. The show's publicist, Nicole Marostica, issued a statement that ABC is not giving up on the show and is still figuring out a time slot to air the last 5 episodes of season 1. Marostica didn't give any indication though on when roughly the show will return on screen.

The speculation that the show is canceled after only eight episodes was based on the fact that a preview for next week was not given at the end of the September 13 episode. Plus, the show has been absorbing only 2.5 million viewers in average since the third episode. The only reason that ABC puts the show in vacuum apparently is because it started the summer season late and didn't have the time to air all the 13 episodes.

"Brothers & Sisters" retains its September 27 premiere at 10/9c slot. Meanwhile, for this coming Sunday, September 20, ABC will present feature movie "King Kong" because it doesn't want to battle an original with CBS' live broadcast of The 61st Annual Primetime Emmy Awards.

Well the sucks!!! I am about ready to just stop watching ABC. It seems every show I enjoy, they cancel.Damn!!!.So anyone know of any links where I can watch the episodes Canada has shown already???Ones that the US can get online????

Okay, at first, I thought the pilot really and truly was wack. So I held off on watching it when the series finally started. And here I was startled to see that it had taken a whole different turn. Believable characters, a more interesting plot, well written and I watched all 8 episodes in one shot...officially hooked. Can't wait to see more. The potential is enormous!

sooo its not canceled right? there is just some scheduling conflicts? when do we find out if it will be renewed? cause this show has become way too cool.

I love this show. The character depth, setting and plot combine for a truly unique experience. IMO Defying Gravity is the best weekly drama on television today. Can't wait to see more.

I really like the show as it's plot (though difficult to figure out) really grabbed me and, well....I love scifi and deep space shows. There hasn't been a good space show since Farscape and Star Trek Voyager (no...I'm no a treckie, lol). Plus the way this show is done is really, really unique!! :-D

Well said, rmartin727! and tick22 you're right. For some reason good series tend get canceled early. I guess the masses prefer cheap sitcoms.

it"s a great show it deserves to be continued, the suspense is addictive and for once a extra terrestrian story that mixes spiritualty and sientifical authenticity it"s a mistake to cancel it
