It's a good deed indeed for Kim Kardashian, who was spotted on a flight overseas for some charity work. The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star is using her celebrity status to help out the less fortunate, and we can only commend her for that.
Along with her boyfriend Reggie Bush and sister Khloe Kardashian, the reality television celeb headed to Africa for the Diamond Empowerment Fund tour. The trio even made stops in NYC and Johannesburg before heading to their destination.
Before they went away, Kim wrote about the trip on her official blog. "We're off to Africa for Russell Simmons Diamond Empowerment Fund," she wrote. "DEF is a non-profit organization that aims to empower disadvantaged people in African nations where diamonds are a natural resource, through education."
The Keeping Up with the Kardashians actress even found herself under scrutiny for her actions. However, she tried to settle things by saying, "Some people online have been judging me for my charity work with the DEF. No charity work should ever be judged, it's just wrong. We can all do something to help!"
Twenty-two hours later, Kim Kardashian finally arrived and took to her Twitter account for updates. "We had such an amazing welcome into South Africa!" she posted. "just saw baby monkey's running around! We are gonna go feed them!!!!! They said they are friendly!"
Kim also reported that her sister was worn out from the flight, and decided to stay back a bit before the busy excursion ahead. "Khloe is tired, she's gonna rest & meet up w us later!" It sounds like it's getting difficult for even her to keep up with the other Kardashians.
It's definitely a busy trip for these celebrities. Yesterday, Kim and Reggie were exploring the Motswedi Rehabilitation Centre with De Beers CEO Sheila Khama in Mochudi for the day's outing. Botswana certainly was star-studded that time.
