This week on Project Runway, the designers had to create their outfits using only items found in a party store. Tim cautioned all of them that the judges would not look kindly on designers who used only 'fabric-like' materials such as table liners, but he forgot to warn them that the judges wouldn't look kindly on ugly either.
Casanova had the hardest time with the challenge, whining over and over that the was a couture designer, who, unlike some of the others, wasn't interested in experimenting. But experiment he did. His gown looked like six different gowns sewn together like Frankenstein. He landed in the bottom three but managed to avoid being eliminated because his accent makes him sound so continental.
Also in the bottom three was AJ's birthday party dress. I didn't think this was that bad given the kinds of dresses he normally makes but because of that, I believe the judges expected more. I love how he sewed tacky items right into the dress, but admittedly, the fringe at the bottom hem was unfortunately placed.
