Kendra Wilkinson has appeared on the cover of Playboy three times, spent five seasons on The Girls Next Door and has welcomed viewers into her post-Playboy mansion life on the reality series Kendra. But the 24-year-old reality TV starlet has more to bare.
According to People, the former Girls Next Door star will be writing a memoir where she will dish about her life, including her childhood, her rise to fame and life with Girls Next Door co-star and former flame Hugh Hefner.
"I feel like the luckiest girl in the world," Wilkinson said in a statement released by her publisher, Simon Spotlight Entertainment. "I have a husband I adore, a baby on the way, and now my memoir is going to be published!"
Wilkinson, who married Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Hank Baskett on June 27 at the Playboy Mansion, is expecting her first child. Hefner will serve as the godfather of the baby boy, due December 25, 2009.
"The memoir will be a humorous, relatable, fish-out-of-water tale that captures the spirit of one of the most beloved Playboy cover models in history," the release said.
Wilkinson's currently untitled memoir is slated to hit the bookshelves in summer 2010.
"Kendra is so genuine and funny that her memoir is sure to be unique," said Jennifer Bergstrom, vice president and publisher of Simon Spotlight Entertainment.
Good things are indeed happening for Kendra Wilkinson. Aside from a book and a baby on the way, her reality series, Kendra, has also been renewed for second season. As reported previously, E! has ordered 12 more episodes that will continue to chronicle Kendra and Hank's life together as they start their own family. In addition to the 12-episode new season, the network is also planning to air two specials in December, when the couple's first child is due.
