It's a very interesting challenge on tonight's episode of Hell's Kitchen. The 11 remaining chefs will try to prepare low-calorie dishes, so if you're like a lot of people trying to be healthy and such, expect a lot of tips. I'd probably be taking notes myself. Anyway, specifically, the chefs will try to create three-course meals using only 700 calories. The winning team will enjoy a day on the beach learning how to play volleyball from Olympian Annett Davis, while the losing team will need to prep both kitchens.
Later on the Hell's Kitchen episode, one chef will do a Joseph I'm nobody's bitch and snap back at Chef Ramsay, while another will be rushed to the emergency room.
Oh boy. 700 calories. If you know your calories, you also know how incredibly demanding that requirement is. Just to give you an idea, a slice of sausage and pepperoni pizza has 562 calories, while your everyday chicken fillet sandwich run up to 780 calories. Every 100 grams of ham, meanwhile, has 195 calories. This is without spices and herbs and sauces and what-have-you's. So you can just imagine the amount of nitpicking that will come to the three dishes.
On the last episode of Hell's Kitchen, the chefs were tasked to celebrate the return of a Marine from Iraq by giving him, his family and friends a special service, featuring his favorite foods. Robert and Suzanne talked to his wife to relay his preferences to their respective teams. The blue team won, thanks to Suzanne being stubborn. Come service time, the blue team killed it, while the red team bungled up a lot of stuff. Special mention goes to Amanda's raw lobsters and Tek's overcooked steak. In the end, Tek was eliminated, and according to Chef Ramsay, "I kept on waiting for Tek to emerge. She couldn't even handle her station. Tek had a total meltdown."
