FOX Scraps Remote-Free TV - Featured

If you enjoyed those "limited commercial interruptions" that ran during Fringe and Dollhouse this past season...too bad.

"Remote-Free TV", as Fox called it, will not be returning next season. While FOX called "Remote-Free TV" a "definitely worthwhile experiment", it wasn't as profitable as they had hoped it might be.

From TV Decoder:

"The 40 percent premiums that Fox extracted for the spots weren't high enough to match what Fox would have made selling more ads at standard prices."

So there you have it.
