I barely even know what DirecTV is, though the one thing for sure is that I do not get it with my Comcast digital cable.
However, in a groundbreaking deal, NBC's Friday Night Lights will begin its third season on DirecTV tonight at 9PM.
I posted some previews for the new season last week which you can check out here.
E!Online also has some upcoming spoilery scoop on the season here and I have to tell you, it seems like FNL will be as good as ever.
I fear that this move might be the death knell for the series, because however many people were watching FNL when it aired on NBC, only less can be watching when it returns in February (after you subtract the DirecTV viewers and those of us who will watch it *cough cough* elsewhere). Then again, Friday Night Lights was already basically canceled anyway, so in the very least we'll now be getting 3 seasons instead of 2.
Remember, Friday Night Lights premieres on DirecTV tonight at 9PM. You can also wait to watch it until it airs on NBC in February.
