As BuddyTV reported earlier this year, Kendra Wilkinson has landed her own TV show following her stint on The Girls Next Door. At the time, not much has been hinted about the program except that it would focus on her life after the Playboy Mansion. Now, more updates have been revealed by Kendra herself.
The Girls Next Door spin-off, which is simply called Kendra, follows the 23-year-old reality TV starlet as she starts a new life and prepares for her wedding to Philadelphia Eagles receiver Hank Baskett. E! has reportedly ordered eight episodes of the series and tentatively plans to start running it this summer. Girls Next Door mastermind Kevin Burns will serve as executive producer on the series.
After living at the mansion for almost five years & having it documented also on The Girls Next Door I decided that it was time to move on and begin the next more grown up phase in my life. I'll never regret the time I spent in the mansion - I was given so many opportunities and met some really cool people & it started my LIFE. I am DEF the LUCKIEST girl in the worldddddâ¦how did this happen to ME? But all good things must come to an end in order to take the next step, which in my case was beginning my future with Hank, Kendra wrote in her website.
Moving out was so sad, she added. But I'm determined to adjust to life on my own [kinda], which means learning how to cook, clean, and not to mention plan a wedding. E! thought it would be interesting to follow my transition and turn it into my own show!
Kendra is expected to premiere in June. Meanwhile, here's a trailer of the much awaited spin-off.
