Tuc Watkins Promoted to Series Regular on 'Desperate Housewives'

We barely see gay couple Bob and Lee on Wisteria Lane, but this can change that.

Tuc Watkins, who plays Bob on Desperate Housewives, reveals to Access Hollywood that he was promoted to series regular on the show starting next season, and he's hoping the upgrade will mean more screen time when the ABC dramedy returns for its seventh season in the fall.

"They made me a series regular on Desperate Housewives next year, so that's great and the timing works out perfectly," he says. "I'm doing the play for eight weeks and then when Desperate Housewives stars up again in mid-July, I go back to do that on a hopefully more regular basis."

His character Bob, alongside life partner Lee (Kevin Rahm), moved to Wisteria Lane in season 4 and occupied the house of Betty Applewhite (Alfre Woodward).

The two have been rather scarce on the show, and their last protracted appearance was on "The Chase," when Gaby (Eva Longoria Parker) had to stay over because her daughter had the chicken pox. It's also been revealed that the couple had been trying to start a family by adopting a baby, a plan that fell through.

Gaby initially offered to have their baby, but the couple's plan to move to New York caused her to backtrack, which caused Lee to leave Bob.
