Who's a Weeping Angel

correct me if im wrong but the angel statues from Blink episode were called Weeping Angels in the End of Time part 2 Rassalion refers to some of his fellow Time Lords as Weeping Angels.Did anybody else notice this??? I bet Moffet has little surprise worked up for us coming some time in the future. After all in the classic 5 doctors episode the then president gets turned into a statue on Rassalions tomb. and in Blink those weeping angels had some serious time tricks going on after I write Im gonna rewatch that one.

At least you plan on watching it, half my friends have decided that it won't be as good without David, and refuse to even give Matt Smith a try!
This idea makes me excited

@ Turkeystick: did they watch it with Eccleston? Did they not love him? If they didn't, don't be friends with them anymore. If they did, ask how they felt about Tennant when he raped our hearts- er, replaced Eccleston. Four years later, look where we are.I keep telling myself this, and I really am starting to believe it. I trust TPTB and I think we need to give the poor boy a chance. In however many years, when he's being replaced by some @#%*!#!!! new guy (probably aged sixteen, at this rate) we'll know that he deserved to be let into our hearts and allowed his chance to shine.Wow, that was like a maple tree before the Quebecois get to it. (Sappy.)As for the Weeping Angel theory, I love it. I'm so excited.

I heard that too and then two of the Time Lords were standing behind Rassalion with thier eyes covered like Weeping Angels.
As for Matt Smith.... he has a nice energy and I think he'll take a bit of getting used to, but I loved the way he first appeared on screen... "I'm a girl. No, no. ((He tried to do the same 'No' that David used to do)) Not a girl... and still not ginger!"
haha I love that. We should start a club the "Let the Doctor be ginger Club" :))

yeah i noticed that too. it's very interesting.
What I also noticed was that this new Doctor's catch phrase seems to be "Geronimo".
I'm going to miss "Alon sy." and David :(

Yeah, I noticed that too. But the one weeping angel seemed that she was important, the one that lowered her hands. She was the one who showed herself to Wilfred and I still want to figure out who she was cause to me it seems important. I don't think she is just one of the weeping angels. Any thoughts?

I think the President said "like" the weeping angels. I don't think they are the same thing.

Yeah. I think he said "like" too. But, if you haven't seen this, you might want to have a look. Fairly certain I saw a one of the Weeping Angels in there. And really.. people. can we give the guy a break? Every time some beloved character gets recast, the Internet goes insane and starts bashing the new actor. When Daniel Craig was announced to be the new Bond, people started bashing him online right away because he wasn't Pierce. I hated Brosnan, but that's beside the point. The point is, Daniel Craig has done a brilliant job as Craig.Characters are not limited to the roles of the previous actors. That's not how acting works. That's how not how life works either. Tennant did a brilliant job, but I don't think that he is the only actor who could ever play The Doctor. The very nature of Dr. Who and The Doctor make it so that various different people can play the lead.

"Allons-y" is the actual spelling. It's french for "Let's go!" in imperative form.

okay.... L.R. - no offense but no1 cares howit is spelledfarghes - if that is the previewfor the new season, yes the weeping angels arein there. it got me all EXCITED!Chene1234 and everyone else - im not sure if he said "like"or not but the two people who were "the weeping angels" were aman and a woman. The woman was the lady who kept appearing to Wilfred. And when the Doctor saw her he had a sad, kinda lonely/loving look on his face... and when Wilfred asked who she was he avoided telling him... this is just a hunch (I LOVE GUESSING THINGS) but im guessing that the man and woman "weeping angels" arehis PARENTS!! but i dont know.............. just a guess..... theatre- geek I was thinking the same thing but wasnt sure. I knew that the woman was somehow important because she had some influence on the Doctor.

Oh yeah that's for sure, re watched Blink (great episode), Doctor describes the weeping angels as the lonely assassins and that no one really knows where they came from but they are almost as old as the universe its self. Rassalion stated in End of Time 2 " they will stand monument to their shame the weeping angles of old". Looking foward to the new season seems like Moffet has some cool ideas and some fresh lore to the show. Not sure who the lady was either maybe a parent maybe Romana, from what was said it sounded like there was factions among the timelords some still the passive race they were and some changed by the time war.

I'm fairly sure he was just comparing the Time Lords to the Weeping Angels...not actually referring to them as angels themselves.
And they revealed at the end who the woman was. Wilfred asked the doctor, and he pointedly looked at Donna. Her mother and grandfather were thus excited that she had such a significant future.

Well, thats interesting especially seeing as the way the angels attack, never killing, but sending people through TIME... huh...

The woman was Donna?? Nah, I don't think so.. Though it would explain why she contacted Wilfred. Still, how on earth should she have gotten in the time lock with the timelords? She is half-timelord, but still... I mean, it's possible but I think it's improbable.
I would go with the theory that she was the Doctors mother/grandmother. I did notice however, how they had the exact same pose as the Weeping Angels, and since the mystery of that woman has never been resolved an we will see some of the angels in the next series, I guess we'll know soon :)
Oh, and don't forget the professor River Song (or whatever her name was). We still don't know how she knew the Doctor's name and I#ve heard rumours we will get to know her this season.
Is anyone else hoping we'll see some more of Donna, though? I'll probably miss her almost as much as Tennant's Doctor :(
Mysteries upon mysteries, all waiting to be resolved...I can barely wait!

I too am going to miss Tennant and I also don't think Matt Smith will be as good. That's not me saying I won't watch or that I won't grow to like him. He may be a great doctor, but to me he won't top Tennant! I also think that woman was his mother and that Rassilon said like the weeping angels! Great discussion board!
