Who else?

Is there anyone besides me who wants Zach back in the lab? I mean seriously it is not the same without him there. I love Zach. Not only that but you can tell that the people directing that episode were seriously reaching when they made Zach the second Gormogon. There were two obvious markers. One, Zach being the apprentice came out of no where. The girl who said she was third in her class had more motive than Zach did. Two, Zach thought he was correct and then about thirty seconds later he thought he was wrong. Those two indicators prove that the directors just put in the first thing that came to mind. I miss Zach. I really wish he would be put back on the show as a regular.

I dont think he can ever come back! It would be nice but he makes me feel a bit icky now! They seemed to have dropped the whole Zach being redeemed thing. Sweets knows he is innocent but it aint moving anywhere. The whole Zach and gormoron thing was sloppy lazy writing and it annoyed us all so much because we have come to expect better from a show of Bones' calibre. The writers strike is a poor excuse they should have done better. The viewers and the character deserved better!
I think a more valuable path for the shows producers et al. would be to draw out some of the more minor characters like sweets. (or wendel I really quite like him!)

The Zach being an apprentice pretty much had no build-up because of the writer's strike. I read they intended to leave hints and lead into it before they got cut down to some three episodes in which to do it.

I don't care about the whole writer's strike thing. Zach just doesn't make a good Gormogon's apprentice. That and the team is just really not the same without him. The same goes with all the others. They just aren't the same team without all of them there.

Are you kidding? I LOVED the Zach is Gormogon's apprentice thing. It made sense to me. He's brilliant and logical but socially awkward and isolated, and the Gormogon used pseudologic to convince him to go along. I think most people would go "okay the logic makes sense but my gut is telling me no", whereas Zach just doesn't have the gut feeling thing. If the logic makes sense, he goes with it. This also explains why he reversed his position so fast. He wasn't being steadfast in his beliefs because of some heartfelt whatever or weird emotional attachment to "the master", it was because it was logical to him. The second Brennan showed him the flaw in his logic, that was no longer true and he reversed his position.
Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love Zach and miss seeing him around the lab, but the way he went out is so brilliant that I can't really complain. I'd like to see more of him in the mental institution though, and I'd like to see the "Zach didn't actually kill anyone" storyline go somewhere. As a side note, I wonder why they aren't settling on a replacement. I really don't think they could bring Zach back at this point, so it's a point of curiosity for me.

Actually, because the episodes aren't played in the right order, it'll probably come up in a later episode.
I totally agree with devilride though

Actually I don't buy into devilride's way of thinking. I am socially awkward, I don't like people, I think logically. I also prefer to be alone, but I am not anywhere near close to becoming a Gormogonian apprentice.
