The Possimpible, the latest episode of How I Met Your Mother was simply delightful (simplightful?).
One of my favorite parts of HIMYM are the flashbacks, and this episode was chock-full of them: Robin as a newscaster in Canada, Ted as Dr. X in college, Lily as a hot dog eating champion, and Lily and Marshall as college students knockin' on Ted's radio show.
It didn't take a genius to figure out that Robin wouldn't be deported, or that Barney would be the one to save the day, but it was still a good storyline nonetheless. I kind of like that the Barney-Robin lovefest has taken a backburner but still shows up in almost every episode.
No real development on who "the mother" is in this episode, but quite frankly? I don't really care. I know there's a lot of buzz around who "she" will be, probably mostly due to the narration and the title of the show, but to me there's so much more to these episodes- and it's more about the friendships and the inside jokes, and the memories than who the actual mother is.
Last weeks episode with the snowstorm bored me, so I'm glad that this week was able to redeem itself with some quality jokes (Marshall a secret dancer?? fabulous! Barney's video resume??) and a well-rounded amount of sentiment and fun!
