My Theory on the Killer

*POSSIBLE SPOILERS* --------------------------------------------------------------------------

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Everyone thinks because Rene was related to the girl that got strangled that he must be the one that killed her. I think he moved away and changed his name to start a new life and is being stalked by the real killer - Sam.

The reason I think Sam is the killer and not Rene is for one, Rene doesn't seem to really care about vampires while Sam hates them. And since the killer is killing females that get to close to vampires it makes sense that it would be someone that doesn't like them.

With the waitress they suspected the killer had keys to her house. Sam was her landlord! And what about the scene where he comes in with latex gloves and rolls around in her sheets. What's up with that?

And how about Sookie's grandmother getting stabbed to death right after Sookie gets in a fight with Sam? And the fact that Bill didn't hear a car drive up, Rene probably would have drove, he's human he doesn't think about vampire super hearing, but Sam could have ran up to the house in animal form.

And isn't it weird that Sam just "happens" to show up right after the grandmother dies and he just "happens" to show up again after the murder tries to strangle Sookie. And that night Sam has on a blue shirt and Rene has on a black shirt, the killer's shirt looks more blue than it does black. I think this show has one final twist for us.

Yeaaahhh... except if you're right, the books are out for the second season because they can't change the story this much!!And they would have given us some clues!! Except they did, for Rene, not Sam!!Before the picture of Rene at the last episode, also remember why HE is the killer: rene, jason and Hoyt were talking beside a truck, and jason said in secret that he was thinking that his girlfriend was doing vampires. He only said that to them. next thing you know, she's dead. think about that.

i get what you mean with rene but that still dose not explain the thing with sam and the latex gloves and sniffing the dead girls sheets thats just really wired. i mean rene seems normal compared to sam. BUT I KNOW WHO THE KILLER IS ANYWAY . i really want to know what the deal is with sam and the sheet sniffing it really winds me up.

Yeah, but just because Rene is related to one of the victims doesn't mean he's the killer. I know he is in the book, but Sam does some pretty suspicious stuff. As for Rene and Hoyt being the only ones to know about Amy, Sam is a shape shifter and her boss, no telling what he could have found out. I know we are supposed to think it's Rene but I still have my suspicions on Sam. Also I think the reason Sam hasn't killed Sookie is because he likes her and wants to win her over.

Major Spoiler for those who have read the book:**********Actually, Alan Ball stated that the killer would be the same as in the books. Which is why we aren't supposed to say who did the deed in the books ;)

Well I guess by the end of this I'll be the only person surprised because I still suspect Sam.

Okay i understand what you mean, but i really think that they are just trying to make you think that it is sam. Also at the end of the episode where sookie is being chased by the killer at the restauraunt sam comes up to her and tells her it will be okay, but than he looks off to the back and you can hear another pair of footsteps run out of the place in the backround so it cant be sam.

Of course they would make it seem like Sam did it. They wouldn't want to make it easy for the people who didn't read the books. However you watch really closely they put in just as many clues about Rene.-He tells Sookie she reminds him of his sister-He asks Jason if Amy slept with vampires (the pre-requisite for all the murders)-He acts extrememly uncomfortable when Sookie tells him that Bill likes himThis is what I love about Alan Ball's shows. They are so chopped full of hints and imagery. I guessed that Sam was a shapeshifter before I even picked up a book because of the camera shots.I still can't wait for the last episode!!

Ooo, ladyKatie, you'r right! I totally forgot about the part where he told Sookie she reminded him of his sister! Aw, this is so sad, I know he's a deranged killer, but he's so sweet with the kids and Arlyn! Quite cute too =P
