Desperate Housewives Season 6 Episode 23 "I Guess This Is Goodbye" Review SEASON FINALE

Well tonight was the season finale of Desperate Housewives. And it was one of those type of episodes that left you wanting more answers but the storylines left you feel content that you expected to see exactly what you wanted to see. The highlight of course was Angie and Danny being held captive by Patrick.

Patrick wanted the sweetest revenge on Angie and convinced her to make a bomb for a cause. Except that he left the bomb in her house where Danny was and set the detenator off in the car 200 yards away, making Angie run to the house to save him. Gaby being a true friend was there at the time trying to rescue Danny. Angie's quick wit and smarts saved their lives tonight when she put the bomb in the detenator killing Patrick. Regardless it was time for Angie and Nick to move again and start over. Letting Danny go to New York to finally stop running and live his own life. Will she be in the next season is what I am wondering. It is very disappointing to think that she will not be a part of Wysteria Lane.

Lynette was also being held captive tonight by the Wysteria Lane Strangler Eddie. She goes into labour but after we have seen a damaged boy that has a heart, Eddie helps deliver her child and helps save the child's life by unwrapping the ambilical cord from the suffocating baby. He ends up turning himself in, but I am guess we will not see the end of him in upcoming seasons.

Orson left Bree tonight after she decides to turn the company over to Sam to protect her son. And tells her how disappointed he is in her because she made him turn himself in when he ran over someone in a previous season. At the end she decides he is right and comes clean with Gaby. We don't know how Gaby and Carlos will take the news. That is something for next season.

Susan and Mike leave Wysteria Lane tonight and rent out their new house. Susan is devastated but doesn't realize who her new tenant is. And well he is no newbie to the lane. Can you guess who he is????? Mary Alice's husband Paul Young returns.. But I wish they would have found someone better. I dont know who would have been a better replacement...but regardless that was that.

Another cliff hanger we are left with is a couple scenes from the hospital staff at the nearby hospital that have discovered after a confession from a dying employee that the parents of a newborn that was delivered at the hospital years ago, aren't really the parents because of a hospital mix up. Who's child on Wysteria Lane is not actually their own blood? We don't know.

It was a good season finale...not the best ever...but good none the less.

kinda didnt cut it for me. i expected a whole lot more from the Angie and Patrick situation, it all seems too good to be true that she put the bomb in the detonator and he let her out of the car when he pressed the button. Guess that means she was ready to sacrifice herself in order to kill him, had they gone to Oregon.I was pretty impressed with Orson and I loved him tonight !!! he is so right ... but then, Bree doesnt deserve to be alone, despite her faults.best moment of this episode was the whole scene with the nurse and the secret about the baby on Wisteria Lane. Now that is something to look foward to next season.Lynette seems kinda too normal after bein holed up with a murderer/new son (" i'll be your mom now " ) /kid up in her vajayjay. i think susan deserved to know who tried to kill her daughter, although Eddie was after her.overall, not the best season finale. just wondering what the story is with the baby and what Paul Young wants. havent seen him since ... season 1 i think ??????

I was thinking the same thing as well about Susan wanting to know who strangled her daughter. I think they should have put a scene at the end where Lynette sits down with Susan. She has a right to know definately...they shouldn't have left that untouched.

It wasn't reallly explained to Lynette that Eddie was the one who strangled her. Maybe it just didn't click in Lynettes mind at the time, so I'm not bothered about that. Although the guy who played Eddie is an amazing actor. The scene between him and Lynette was extremely touching and made me well up.
God damn cliff hangers, I can't wait for that long to know who's been raising a child that's not theirs, and why Paul is back!

I don't want to be unkind but this is not a very good review!I think it will definitely be the last we see of Angie- what on earth makes you think she will be in the next series? her departure seemed very final to me. Loved the twist with the detonator. As for Eddie- I cannot imagine there would be any where to go with that character. I think we are left to assume that some time has past between Lynette calling the police and the final scenes- thats fine by me- i don't expect to see every moment and I'm sure we can all imagine Susan's (and the other residents )reaction. Its not really important to the plot. I'm left wondering will Susan return for the next season? surely it will be reported somewhere if Teri Hatcher had left? I agree it was an average finale- my favourite so far was the season they skipped forward five years, I thought that was really original. Paul Youngs return doesn't excite me as I'm not sure what they will do with that character either. The swapped baby- trying to wrack my brain as to who it could be, Julie on MJ Meyer perhaps?
