GETTING INTOLERABLE!

Heroes is really starting to be intolerable, even with the new storyline every episode, it seem the main characters don't get past their usual boring issues. Claire always got the same problems - friendly advice, either use her ability or just shut up and be a normal student! Sylar, what's your deal man? Are you just in the show to annoy us? What's your real purpose? Parkman? get a better storyline! Peter- now what? Ever since he lost his original powers he's become "ordinary". Nathan, will he rise from the dead?

Tell you what start off again from series 2..... We'll try and forget the debacle that soon followed.

Well said, doesn't help that Madeline Zima can't act her way out of a paper bag :( She was perfect for the part in Californication, suuuuuuucks as Gretchen Berg.

If you can't look beyond in the grand scheme of things to see how the characters will evolve throughout the season, and all you see is what they tell and don't speculate what they mean then this show isn't for you, stop watching and criticizing things you don't understand.
Claire, well can't argue that hate the character with a passion. Her whole girl power shtick last season was a bore and a half, and I don't expect her to be any more interesting this season.
Sylar is the product of Matt Parkman removing his conscious/personality/soul or whatever it was from his body and placing a copy of Nathan he thought up in it instead. Not sure what the real purpose of it was except that Nathan has political power, and I suppose Angela would like to exploit her son even after death-- However if we watched the last episode we saw that Sylar is pushing Matt to restore himself in the body they stole from him. The whole Sylar pushing Matt to the dark side thing is probably one of the BETTER story lines of the entire series since th Season 1 arcs. Matt Parkman was always an under-rated character, not really a fan favorite but no one really hated him-- Now that we see a more 3-Dimensional Matt Parkman struggling on the fence of good and evil being pushed by the devil he vanquished in the depths of his own mind.
Peter? He is still an empath but he could only take on power at a time, in the Season opener he has Mohinder's power of super strength and at the end of the two hour premier he took Edgar (Ray Park's character) power of Speed. He doesn't want to be ordinary, he wants to use his powers to save people without help of anyone else or the company. His path Noah speculated will be self destructive but who knows if Peter will listen. And at the end of the last episode with Samuel? Well we'll see.
Gretchen, didn't watch Californiacation but I hate the character just as much as I hate Claire's story arc. Again not going to rationalize that.
I hope Nathan doesn't come back either because after Claire I hate him the most.
Lets hope its better then Season 2 which was horrible (Can't believe anyone would think it was good, even the show creator said it was horrible) Season 3 was a little too hectic for that actual premise of the show which is a CHARACTER DRIVEN DRAMA. Lets hope it goes back to its roots in Season 1, and get rid of the forced action scenes they THOUGHT was a good idea.

I definitely do not agree with you. I love Heroes, I even loved last season. I agree with willowparadox, why are you watching this show if all you do is complain about it afterwards?

The only reason that the second season sucked was the writer's strike. The thing that they changed was that at the end Peter did not stop the virus from getting out. I think the story would have been a lot better if they did not do this. But they changed it because the strike cut the season short. And if you do not believe me, watch the extras on the season two DVD.

Some of you guys just don't get it! It's not about me not liking the show, it's about me seeing something that had a potential to be an all time classic losing its promise. An that guy who's talking about the grand scheme of things..... get a grip..if by this time (season 4) some characters are still having the same issues like the one's they have since season one....guess they have to go...cue, Claire bear...

the only character consistently good and agreeable to watch is Sylar/Gabriel Gray. Even though his problems are always the same: how to acquire more powers; he seems to do it in a way that even though he is killing people he does it in an irresistible way and we can't help but love to hate him. This is probably due to Zachary Quinto's excellent portrayal, and the only reason people tune in to watch Heroes is to watch what he'll do next. The Matt-Sylar storyline is the best one in this season so far. As for Claire she needs to grow a metaphorical pair and actually grow up and get over the fact that she can't tell anyone. I would've gotten used to it by now, and not throw myself out windows and then be surprised someone saw her. No surprise there. As for head carny (samuel?) his character is reminiscent of Sylar season 1 so that could work in the favor of Heroes redemption. As for Cancellation zone, I really hope it doesn't get canceled.

*sigh* I really do wish they'd just cut their losses and show us how good season 2 was supposed to be. who knows? maybe Maya will be more tolerable and West and Monica would have a better arc (still want to see the Knox vs. Monica showdown that was supposed to happen). Best case scenario: they'd stop right now and reshoot Exodus (the original volume 3)Oh well.
