Vampires Unfair

So at first watching this I thought that the safest thing a human could to was to hide inside a home because a vampire could not enter their but now after seeing yet again another shining (thats what its called right?) and entering I don't really see the point. Then again I supposed they could level the house if they wanted to but the fact that a vampire can just make you let them in defeats the whole purpose of them not being able to get in anyways.

I think it's called compelling, but I'm not sure. And I agree, the whole having to be invited in thing is a pretty weak defense.

It is called compelling. And yes, vampires can pretty much make humans do their bidding, whether it's using mind control, or the fact that the human is addicted to V. That's what makes vampires so alluring yet dangerous.

But it's only if a human looks into their eyes.Like when Jason and Amy kidnapped, (forgot his name) and had him in the basement. Jason refused to look him in the eye because he was worried he would be compelled. If i'm wrong though then it sucks for humans. But it comes in hand quite a few times in the books if you've read them. :)

They called it Glamour, like what faeries can do, and Eddie wasn't able to do it yet, but Jason also didn't want to look at what he'd done.

I think the older and stronger the vampire, the harder it is to resist his compultion.

Still I think there has to be some way around it. I hope so... Because I don't know if I can take another season of watching Tara act like a zombie while someone takes advantage of her. It's like they dont have a character for her anymore, just an empty shell for people to play with.
Also I wonder when Jessica is going to start getting her vamp on and join in with some other vamps. Because the whole waitin-around-at-home-and wondering-how-to-be-a-proper-vampire-while-Bill-is-away-routine-is-getting a-bit-dull.
Maybe she can help in his rescue?? If he still wants to be rescued...
