Not Bad (Asylum)

So Into the Asylum or whatever it was wasn't bad, it once again showed how they love to have the bad guys win, which isn't a bad thing since its a break from the norm, but man I was hopin that the shapeshifter was gonna get away, I mean Sylar is unbeatable now practically and Danko is a hypocrite... go figure. Anyways quite a heartfelt episode between claire and nathan & peter and angela, and was she looking better or was it just me? Gotta love Noah walks in and shakes his head, I chuckled at that part. And what? Liver regeneration...? I had not idea you were killing your liver when you drank but I had a feeling they'd pull something like that. And they totally threw me off at that club I would have though that the shapeshifter was actually Danko but they got me. The shapeshifter was a moron anyways, first off what power does Danko have... his power is a secret and who would want to touch that? ANNDDD why the heck does he not run, is it really that hard a concept, but nooooo he had to push his luck and try to screw with them.

The character of the shapeshifter, to me, was a very two dimensional one. As far as him not running, I suppose at some point you have to explore the possibility though that people don't always have grand plans, sometimes the are just trying to get laid...
As a plot device though it does show that HRG was right about the "one of us, one of them" and shows how Sylar and Danko can help one another.
I'm not sure that Danko has a power, I would def cringe if the writers pulled that one.
All in all I think the episode could have been better but tying up loose ends is difficult I suppose.
: )

I agree ^ A feel good episode, but yet a good episode. Which is hard to pull of in Modern Sci-fi.
Not sure i want Danko to have a power either, Probobly not.
Sylar Now becoming a shapeshifter is definantly interesting, it makes any plot line twistable, more twistable.
You have gotta love sylar though, come on.

i knew sylar would have got the shapeshifters power because in season 1 the episode called 5 years into the future or something like that where peter and sylar have the fight.. if you think about it sylar 1st comes into the scene as nathan an peter says "your not my brother", then sylar suddenly appears laughing lol. even though they had changed the future plot... it was still inevitable that sylar would get that power.
and as for danko, i feel if it was revealed he had a power it would be the worst twist in the series, it would ultimatle kill the season off.
i only enjoyed this episode more to the end it had a weird feel to it, not a usual heroes episode but an enjoyable one without a doubt!

The last two episodes have been lifting my spirits for Heroes. I've never gotten to where I 'hate' it like so many people seem to say, but It's delivering some better episodes lately. It's nice.

he means power as in how he shape shifted into doctors and lawyers and such as they have power not in the sense that the other characters have power. and yes, drinking does damage your liver. that's how you get liver cancer. when you drink to much your liver shuts down and can no longer filter the alcohol, and her liver never did shut down

@ Plumpy, that's not how you get liver cancer, other than that you're absolutely right :)
The shapeshifter guy (who was a highschool teacher, how Fd up is that? xD) didn't run, because he never needed to... And he was in Danko's HQ and office, he knew that they didn't really have any leads on him, nor did he have any idea that Sylar would be after him (and you don't mess with Teh Sylar).
@winfield87 I also loved Sylar's facial expressions! He was sooo cute. For a serial killer...

Obviously alcohol damages your liver in large quantities but thats not what I mean, for you to get drunk your liver has to metabolize the alcohol so I was just saying it was kind of a a stretch. And what I meant with Danko being the shapeshifter was I thought at the very last part the shapeshifter had kept Danko's form and shot Sylar rather than the real Danko shooting the shapeshifter.

I thought the shape shifter had to touch people in order to shift into them? When did he ever touch sylar? I reallllly hope HRG realizes that's not the real sylar. I also wanted the shape shifter to get away. I thought he would have been a cool new character to introduce. BTW what does HRG stand for again?
