***Spoiler Included*** Review 5.04 The Little Prince - Featured

Well Losties, another episode has graced us this week and I have to say that the momentum of this season is completely fantastic. We're now four episodes into the story and it is so fast paced and action packed, I'm starting to feel dizzy. Not to mention the time-traveling-pickle that we have to always think of 'when' the characters are!!!!

So we begin rather nicely again with the Oceanic six and Sun shows us her motives. While Kate goes off to confront Mr Norton the lawyer, we see Sun gets some intel on Ben, a nice box of chocolates...and oh yeah......a 9mm hand-gun. I don't feel any untoward emotion for Sun wanting to kill Ben, as she feels he is responsible for Jin's death, so I don't really see her as a killer but more rather a woman scorned who has a lot of money and vengeance on her mind.

Back on the island we see John Locke's quest begin. He has made up his mind that he must leave the island through the Orchid to get the Oceanic six back in order to stop all this time skipping (and nose bleeding) from happening. This is what I always wondered when Ben said 'your people are in danger and that they have to go back'. I would sometimes wonder what was so bad that was going to happen? And how can just six people prevent it? So now we know the time-skipping is going to kill everyone and is the threat that is mentioned during the show.

Our story with the Oceanic six returning to the island during the episode is so good it has to be fattening as Ben is back to his true form like a James Bond villain! We have found out he hired the lawyer as he knew Kate wasn't the mother and used this to his advantage knowing she would follow Aaron back to the island. I think we'll find that John couldn't convince her as we hear Sawyer this episode ask John:-

" What are you going to say to her to get her to come back?"

" Well James, I haven't figured that out yet"

As I previously mentioned in the past, the show explains time travel in different ways and this week I think we see a rather good way as it uses clues and characters we know ourselves to determine when it is. Our first time skip shows us season one when Aaron was born (awww, and Sawyer was so sad seeing Kate), but the main one we find out at the end is that they are sixteen years in the past...because....wait for it....Rousseau's crew find Jin!!!!! Yeaaaah!! Now we know that Jin got off the boat and has been time skipping with the rest of the survivors. Ahhh, what a relief. The only fear he has now is to avoid getting shot when Rousseau starts killing her crew.

Questions for this week:-

- Will Jin learn french? (kidding)

- When were Charlotte and Miles on the island before? We know Daniel was from seeing him in the pilot with the Dharma Initiaive but Charlotte says she was born there (season 4) and now we're supposed to think Miles has been there to?

- Would it explain why Widmore chose them to go to the island with Naomi?

- Is there a growing love connection between Juliette and Sawyer?

- Where did the Indian bottle of water come from?

I'll leave you there Lost friends,

See y'all on the island next week.

*~*~*~*~*SPOILER ALERT!!*~*~*~*~* [well assumption spoilers]
I was totally blown away by this week's episode! I knew that he producers said they would be giving a reveal every week but MAN! This is GREAT! I was super surprised to see that Jin was still alive. I had read that he would be included in this season in some capacity but I guess that meant that he was dead but would be visiting Sun like how Charlie talks to Hurley or Jack's dad talked to him. Glad he's back though.
I'm pretty sure that Daniel hadn't been on the island before and when we saw him with the DHARMA guys buildin the Orchid he was time travelling and attempting to alter the future (which we already know is impossible....technically) As for Charlotte and Mile's, I think they both were bone on the island. Charlotte said in season 4 that she was looking for where she was born and that English chick that took Daniel to fix the A-bomb looked an awful lot like Charlotte. Her being there before would explain why she was affected first with the nose bleed. As for Miles, think back, Asian guy on DHARMA orientation videoes, Asian guy had a baby on the island, now Asian 30 something Miles is the second person to fall ill, and when he does Daniel asks "Are you sure you have never been on the island before?" Hmmm....does it make sense? only time will tell. It would definately explain why Widmore choose them to go onto the island because they obviously have some kind of connection with it!
Can't wait til next week! MORE REVEALS!!! Tv only shows on Wednesdays at 9 p.m. EST on ABC :)

Clever. I hadn't put that together regarding Miles and Dr Candle.
As for the Young Female English Other from the 50's, Its obvious she has a part to play later on. But she must have been born in the 30's and Charlotte in the early 80's, As we havent seen or heard any reference to her in previous seasons** I would assume she left the island when Charles Widmore did. Penelope Widmore, I guess is older than Charlotte and i dont think Penny was born on the island, so i wouldnt think that if the english girl is Charlottes mother she would return to the island to give birth (especially as pregnant women rarely survive on the island). And if she is Charlottes mother she would have been coming up 50 when she had her.And as for her actually being Charlotte...Impossible as present day-time travelling Charlotte would remember.
But then the lost writers always try to catch you off Guard, so anything is possible.
**I Believe that she has been referred to before on Lost, if I think back to the end of season 4 i vaguely remember Ben Speaking to an elderly lady, who he seemed to show respect for (rare moment for Ben) about everyone having to return to the island, not just the oceanic 6 but Walt also.
QUESTION.. Do you think Desmond will have to return? It doesnt seem so but i can't see his future in the show now he has commited himself to hide on a boat at least till Pennys dad dies. Shame as Des was one of my Favourite characters along with Mr. Ecko and Charley.

desmond does not need to go back as he is speacial and the rules of timetravel do not occur to him, i know this because faraday(love this guy) explained this to him when seeing des in the hatch after he "forgot his pack" just after sawyer had been bangging on the door.

But Daniel Farraday also said that because the rules didn't apply to Desmond that he was the only one who could fix things for the people time-travelling on the island (who will eventually die because of it). So, if Desmond is immune to all the rules he probably will have to go back to the island to help fix everything (possibly help prevent everything from happening).

I think Desmond will return as he is going to find Farraday's mum, who will probably be Mrs Hawking, at the exact time that the oceanic 6 plus Ben have to go back to the island. You know he'll probably have some big emotional speech with Penny that it's 'something he has to do' and blah blah blah.........Desmond is way too good a character to be taken out of the show as they could of done that at the end of season 4 and just have him and Penny sail off into the sunset. Desmond WILL return to the island o'terror.
