Oh dear. Oh dear, oh dear. I'm sorry everyone, but I've actually managed to out-dork the Big Bang Theory on not one, but two counts.
I've just started rewatching the series, and:
The Luminous Fish Effect: The luminous jellyfish gene Sheldon mentions is almost certainly GFP (Green Fluorescent Protein), which isn't luminous, but rather flourescent. The fish at the end looks like it's had a luciferase inserted instead, a protein (usually) from fireflies which makes light from cellular energy.
The bit where Wolfowitz and Raj are trying to convince Sheldon that he's a robot: The third of Asimov's laws is that the robot must forrow human orders, except where doing so would force it to break the other two laws. So, obviously, Sheldon isn't a robot.
