On this week's episode of The Good Wife, Alicia faces disbarment after her deposition with Glenn Childs is leaked. Plus, the race for the state attorney's office takes an interesting turn when a surprise third candidate is revealed.
When It All Falls Apart
My absolute favorite part of the evening was the big confrontation between Kalinda and Blake. It's been a few episodes coming, but it was well worth the wait. After Alicia mentioned to Kalinda that Blake was asking about "Leela," the look on Kalinda's face meant war. Watching Kalinda, in her trademark boots, with her dark shades and her radio blasting, smash Blake windows in with a baseball bat was a vision to behold.
However, it was the scene right after that provided the night's biggest fireworks. Blake obviously knew it was Kalinda that broke in and she so conveniently placed his stolen rental receipt in her bra. And then she asked about his big gun and whether he was compensating for anything else and then checked to see for herself. Wow, great television. I really couldn't tell if they were going to have an angry make-out session right there or shove each other, but restraint is much more fun with these two, so only time will tell where this is all headed. What is Blake's connection to Will? Why did Kalinda lie about having a picture-perfect childhood in Menlo Park (and what really happened?). Either way, their relationship and rivalry is one of the most interesting parts of the show, and it seems like it's only to get better from here.
