Kelly Clarkson might not be a country music singer. But, the pop/rock singer has been invited to perform at the 44th Annual Country Music Association (CMA) Awards later this month because she recently recorded a song with Jason Aldean for his upcoming studio album "My Kinda Party".
While the upcoming performance will mark for the first time Clarkson sings at the prize-giving event, her duet with Aldean is not her first involvement in country music. She previously made a duet with Reba McEntire in "Because of You" and got nominated for Musical Event of the Year at the 2007 CMA Awards.
