Fast National ratings for Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010

"The Big Bang Theory" jumped by more than a million viewers over last week and helped keep CBS in its usual top spot in the ratings Thursday. A big episode for KaDee Strickland on "Private Practice," meanwhile, gave that show its biggest audience of the season.

CBS easily won the night with 13.5 million viewers and an 8.3 rating/14 share in households. ABC (8.75 million, 5.9/10) came in second, while the return of FOX's regular Thursday lineup (7 million, 4.3/7) took third. NBC drew 5.2 million viewers and a 3.2/5 to finish fourth. The CW scored just over 3 million viewers and a 1.8/3.

In the adults 18-49 demographic, CBS' 3.4 rating beat out ABC's 3.1 for the lead. NBC (2.3) edged FOX (2.2) for third. The CW earned a 1.2 in the demo.
