It hasn't been the greatest week for President Obama. His party suffered a historic reversal in the midterm elections, and the sitting president has faced criticism from all sides. And so, at the end of a very long week, he got to appear on '60 Minutes' (Sun., 7PM ET on CBS) and defend his record one more time.
At times, it seemed like all the criticism was getting to Obama. He said this: "I do get discouraged." Correspondent Steve Kroft used the interview to grill Obama on the economy. The president said he was pleased with his record, but added that there were elements that were beyond his control. "As president ... you're held responsible for everything, but you don't always have control of everything."
