Well we are now down to just two contestants on this season's American Idol. And it looks like my predictions were accurate that the contestant being sent home tonight was none other then Casey James. It should make for a very interesting finale with the soulfull duet contestants Lee Dewyze and Crystal Bowersox.
It was actually a very entertaining episode tonight. With celebs in the audience and performances from artists speeding up the charts. But the most entertaining part of the night was when they announced the two finalists. Bowersox just couldn't seem to register the fact she made it to the top two by stating, "Am I Safe? I'm Safe?". However, once it registered she didn't hold back as she jumped into the arms of Lee Dewyze as both of them shed tears.
We also got a look at the three contestants heading back to their home towns. And it is really hard to say just who is going to win this year. A few weeks ago I would have told you that Bowersox had this competition in the bag just on her originality alone. But the past couple weeks Lee has pushed through and has had the best performances of the night. He even did 'Simple Man' by Lynard Skynard this week that had to be one of my favorite performances by any competitor this season.
It should be one interesting finale. Goodbye Casey James from Texas. You really didn't have a chance against these two but you did have a couple great guitar moments. Expect a call from Cara aka "Mrs. Robinson" in the upcoming weeks.
