Detroit native Della Reese (Touched by an Angel, Harlem Nights) will be showing her hometown pride when she guest stars on ABC’s new crime drama DETROIT 187.
Reese will appear in the "Shelter" episode, playing Lorraine Henderson, an urban, working class mother in her 70s, whose son’s body is found in an abandoned fallout shelter. A young man when he was murdered, Richard Henderson was believed missing since 1967. The episode will air December 7.
An ordained minister in Los Angeles, Reese started singing in her Detroit church and on radio at the age of six. She has had a long, successful career in both music and acting, winning Grammy awards and becoming beloved for her role as the no-nonsense Tess on CBS’ Touched by an Angel.
Detroit 187 airs on ABC Tuesday nights at 10pm/9 central.
