Since 1957, Larry King has been a part of the entertainment business, first doing interviews in local radio and television and Florida before going national on radio in 1978. In 1985, he came to CNN and he's been a fixture in cable news ever since. So it was with mixed emotions that he sat down with the women of 'The View' (Weekdays, Syndicated on ABC) to discuss his retirement.
So much of King's life has been about doing interviews to keep his finger on the pulse of America. How do you put that down and walk away? It's a similar conundrum to what Johnny Carson faced when he finally gave his farewell to television back in 1992.
