Despite not having a spot in my schedule for NBC'sUndercovers, I still wanted it to succeed. It was, after all, the brainchild of my hero J.J. Abrams, who created two of my favorite TV shows of all time (LOST and Fringe). However, Undercovers just didn't cut it, and became Abrams' first show to not even make it through a full first season. Considering the series had high expectations all around, it was a disappointment to Abrams fans everywhere, even those who had no intention of ever tuning in (like myself).
Undercovers isn't quite under yet, though. The series, which will air its final regularly scheduled episode next Wednesday, December 1, has produced thirteen episodes. December 1's episode will be the ninth, leaving four episodes in limbo. While some networks might leave those for the DVD set, NBC has decided to give you a Christmas present of the Blooms' final exploits this holiday season, sandwiching Christmas with two of the four unaired episodes.
