Bethenny Frankel was here today to fill in as a guest co-host and give her take on all things Hot Topic! The ladies spoke about everything from Mel Gibson's sixth audio tape to Rachel Uchitel checking into celebrity rehab.
Christine Baranski from the hit series The Good Wife -- based loosely on former New York Governor Eliot Spitzer's scandal with a high-end prostitute -- dropped by. The ladies congratulated Christine on her two Emmy nominations for The Good Wife and The Big Bang Theory.
Later, Bryan Batt was here to talk about his heartwarming book She Ain't Heavy, She's My Mother. Bryan has been on Mad Men for three seasons, playing a married but closeted gay man who was fired from the ad agency after he turned down the advances of a male client. The fourth season begins Sunday, but unfortunately his character is not returning -- though the ladies were curious as to whether he would come back if asked. His memoir, She Ain't Heavy, She's My Mother, is dedicated to his mom Gayle -- who is 79 and living in their hometown of New Orleans. The book is also about growing up as a theatrical kid (who ended up on Broadway, by the way) and ultimately realizing he was gay. Bryan's book is in bookstores now -- and everyone in our studio audience took home a copy!
