FRINGE “Entrada” ADVANCE REVIEW

Fringe Season 3 Episode 8 - Entrada

On tonight’s episode of FRINGE, Peter finds himself unsure of who is friend or foe after a shocking revelation. In the alter-verse, Olivia is running out of options and turns to an enemy for help. I was able to see “Entrada” before it airs, and it takes this season of Fringe to all new heights.

In “Entrada”, the Fringe team works to prevent an enemy agent from taking a key component of the doomsday device back to the alter-verse. As they race against time, they stumble upon a communication method between both universes providing a key clue. Throughout all this, the team struggles through the implications of the phone call Peter received at the end of the last episode.

In the alter-verse, Olivia is once again in Walter-nate’s clutches after a failed attempt to get back to her universe. Running out of time, she reaches out to an unlikely person for help in attempting another escape. This leads her to a familiar location, but with the military hot on her heels.

Instead of focusing on just one universe like the other Fringe episodes this season, this one is pretty much evenly split between the two. This leads to some cool visual effects when the scenery changes from one universe to the other; the alter-verse always has lots of little details that surprise me. The episode also has a slightly different opening sequence, which I thought it was a cool way to show how this episode was going to cover both universes.
