LAW & ORDER: LOS ANGELES was back this week with “Playa Vista” and episode that centered on a pro golfer, his wife, son, and mistresses.
Overall, I felt the episode was okay. It wasn’t anything spectacular, nothing really jumped out at me, but it kept my interest for 42 minutes, which is more than I can say for a lot of television.
I felt “Playa Vista” was pretty predictable. I pretty much knew what was going to happen approximately five minutes into the episode. To be fair, Law and Order is difficult to switch up the formula; especially when it worked for years with the other series in the franchise. But this episode was ripped directly from Tiger Woods, and while I like plot lines that mirror current events something just didn’t sit right with me.
“Playa Vista” was… for lack of a better word, eh.
Winters and TJ were great – they’re becoming great characters that work well with each other and I can finally see them becoming the pair of detectives that are expected in a Law and Order series.
