'Top Chef: All-Stars': Angelo on his recent loss and what Marcel's like in the kitchen

What can we say about Season 7's Angelo Sosa? We're not surprised he made Bravo's "Top Chef: All-Stars." He didn't have any shortage of confidence in the kitchen and he had the credentials to back it up. After Zap2it spoke to Season 5's Carla Hall at Bravo's kick-off party in New York City, Angelo dropped in and we had to chat him up, as well.

It hasn't been long since we saw Angelo battle it out in last season's finals while suffering from some kind of illness. While it didn't go his way, Angelo has dealt with the disappointment.

"Bottom line, [Kevin Sbraga] cooked a great dish that day," the restaurant consultant tells us. "Honestly, I was just happy that I cooked and I was able to do what I loved."

Afterward, Angelo rested up for four days before the producers called him about participating in the "All-Stars" season. And about a week-and-a-half later, he was shooting again. "Honestly, it was a double-edged sword," he says. "I wish I had time to rest. Then, again, I had the momentum, too. So, I teeter-tot back and forth."
