"The Closer" returns for the final five episodes of Season 6 on Monday night (Dec. 6). Star and recent Emmy winner Kyra Sedgwick tells Zap2it what viewers can look forward to, which includes her character Brenda continuing to explore her solitude.
"The unintentional theme of this year is the issue of her solitude, her aloneness," says Sedgwick. "She continues to be alone in the decisons that she makes and people continue to not agree with her. The whole Chief issue resulted in her feeling very alone in the world. I think that the loneliness was an unintentional theme of the year, but it really has emerged as a theme."
The Chief of Police issue was resolved before the hiatus, but it certainly isn't going to be completely smooth sailing with Courtney B. Vance's Tommy Delk as the new chief, especially regarding the fate of Assistant Chief for Operations Will Pope (J.K. Simmons).
