The Vampire Diaries had a lot of action in its mid-season finale, didn't it? Stefan managed to get free of the cave with Elijah's (and Elena's) help, leaving Katherine still trapped inside. And he thankfully only dreamed about having sex with her. Except now it seems like he's back to having sex with Elena, so I'm going to assume that their little "break" might be over
