Terriers: Season 1 Review

Warning: Full Spoilers for the season to follow…

In the crowded TV landscape of network procedurals and genre fare involving spies, vampires, gangsters and zombies, two disheveled unlicensed private dicks stole our hearts, tickled our funny bones and delivered a massively gratifying TV experience like no other. FX's now-cancelled Terriers, from The Sheild's Shawn Ryan and Ocean's 11's Ted Griffin, delivered a subtle brilliance that is almost too hard to encapsulate in words. It's the kind of nuanced "goodness" that almost can't exist on TV, which might have unintentionally doomed it from the start. Part beachfront charm of The Rockford Files, and part deadly intrigue of Chinatown, Terriers, quite simply, delivered on all fronts.
